Brewers' Logan Henderson: Claims 10th win

Henderson (10-3) allowed one unearned run on two hits and a walk while striking out six over five-plus innings to earn the win over the Cubs on Wednesday.
Henderson threw 65 of 95 pitches for strikes in another strong performance. His run of six straight quality starts came to an end with the shorter outing, but he's still allowed just 11 runs (10 earned) over 44.1 innings since the start of August. The 24-year-old is at a 2.34 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 99:15 K:BB through 88.1 innings over 16 starts this season. Henderson is projected to make his next start at Pittsburgh.
Bauers (shins) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Cubs.
It's the third straight day out of the lineup for Bauers, who has been dealing with shin splints dating back several weeks. He will attempt to return to the lineup for Friday's contest against the Reds. Andrew Vaughn is at first base, and Luis Lara will handle right field for the Brewers in the series finale.

Brewers' Rob Zastryzny: Ready for rehab assignment

Zastryzny (shoulder) has been sent to Triple-A Nashville to begin a rehab assignment, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Zastryzny hasn't pitched for the Brewers this season because of shoulder and intercostal injuries and has encountered multiple starts and stops on his rehab. He's ready to give it another go again in what will be his first game appearance in more than two months. Zastryzny could become an option for the Brewers' bullpen later this month if all goes well.
Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Punches out nine in no-decision

The flamethrowing righty surrendered a run on two singles and a double during the opening frame but locked in from there, generating 16 whiffs and tossing 64 of 93 total pitches for strikes in his 17th quality start of the campaign. It was a strong rebound from Misiorowski after he surrendered five runs to the Cubs during his previous start last week, while his nine strikeouts ended a run of four consecutive starts with six or fewer Ks.

Chourio went 4-for-5 with a double, a two-run homer and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 4-3, extra-inning victory over the Cubs.
The 22-year-old outfielder came to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning and launched a game-tying, two-run home run off Jacob Webb to erase a 3-1 deficit and force a 10th frame. It's the third four-hit performance in Chourio's past 13 contests, and he's batting .356 (21-for-59) with three doubles, five long balls, three steals, 13 RBI and 17 runs during that stretch. On the season he has an .827 OPS with 22 homers, 16 stolen bases, 63 RBI and 81 runs through 111 games.
Bauers (shins) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Cubs.
Bauers has been dealing with shin splints since late August and will be absent from the lineup for the second day in a row. The Brewers have faced lefties both games, but Bauers' absence seems to be more about injury maintenance. Andrew Vaughn will cover first base and Luis Lara will patrol right field for Milwaukee on Tuesday
Megill earned a save against the Cubs on Monday, allowing one run on one hit over one inning.
Megill had a two-run lead to work with when he entered in the ninth inning, which proved important when he served up a solo homer to Pete Crow-Armstrong with two outs. Megill managed to shrug that off and retire Seiya Suzuki to end the frame and collect his 27th save of the season. The right-hander did see the end of a 15-game stretch without allowing an earned run, but he has now logged 19 successful saves since his last blown save. Megill needs three more saves before the end of the campaign to tie the career-high mark of 30 he established last regular season.

Brewers' Robert Gasser: Pulled short of five innings again

Gasser allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out five batters over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Monday.
Gasser held Chicago scoreless through four frames before serving up a solo homer to Pedro Ramirez with two outs in the fifth. He then hit a batter and issued a walk before being given the hook by manager Pat Murphy. Gasser was at only 83 pitches at that point, but the Cubs had a pair of right-handed batters coming up, which may have influenced the decision to yank the lefty hurler. It was the fourth time over Gasser's past six starts that he failed to complete five frames, and he's pitched to a mediocre 4.40 ERA across 28.2 innings during that span. Gasser is slated for a home matchup against the Reds his next time out.
Frelick is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.
The Brewers will send the left-handed-hitting Frelick to the bench while the Cubs start southpaw Matthew Boyd in the series opener. After being reinstated from the 10-day injured list Aug. 25, Frelick started in seven of the Brewers' ensuing 13 games and slashed .212/.278/.303 with three RBI and three runs.

The Brewers will give the left-handed-hitting Hamilton a break for the series opener while southpaw Matthew Boyd takes the hill for the Cubs.
