Seager (back) is scheduled to hit soft toss in the batting cage Sunday in addition to fielding groundballs, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Seager continues to do light baseball activities as he works his way back from lower-back inflammation, which sent him to the injured list at the start of July after spending time on the IL with the same injury earlier in the campaign. The veteran shortstop is without an official timeline for his return but doesn't seem likely to be back in the immediate future. According to Landry, the Rangers expect Seager to be back "eventually" this season.

Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Cleared to start Monday

The 38-year-old was scratched from his final outing before the All-Star break due to a mild left glute strain, but he's been cleared to take the mound for Texas' fourth game coming out of the All-Star break. DeGrom has given up two runs or fewer in six of his past seven starts and has a 4-1 record with a 3.07 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 52:10 K:BB across 41 innings during that span.

Pederson led off the game by sending a middle-middle four-seamer 419 feet over the fence in right field. It was his seventh homer in the last 16 games and 16th of the season. Bradford was sharper in his second rehab start for the RoughRiders, upping his pitch count to 37 (27 strikes). The left-hander still has time left on the 30-day rehab assignment to make at least three more starts and build up to five or six innings.
Latz secured the save Saturday against Atlanta, throwing 1.1 clean innings. He struck out one.
After beginning the year as a starter and then a setup man, Latz continues to run away with Texas' closing gig. The 30-year-old southpaw has successfully converted 14 consecutive save opportunities, also turning in six straight scoreless outings. Through 46 innings, Latz owns a 1.57 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 47:11 K:BB with 19 saves in 21 attempts.

Gore hardly pitched well enough to deserve the victory, notably hitting three batters Saturday, but he received plenty of run support to get him off the hook. Although the 27-year-old southpaw has registered seven punchouts in three of his past four outings, he's given up at least five runs in each of those starts. Eovaldi was sick over the All-Star break but feels significantly better this weekend and is ready to roll for Sunday's series finale. The veteran right-hander posted a 9-7 record, 4.04 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 120:26 K:BB across 111.1 innings spanning 18 starts prior to the Midsummer Classic.
Eovaldi (illness) said Saturday that he is feeling significantly better, and the team believes he'll be ready to make his scheduled start Sunday against Atlanta, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Eovaldi picked up an illness during the All-Star break, but it no longer seems like he's at risk of missing any starts. The 36-year-old finished the first half by posting a 3.48 ERA and 1.16 WHIP across 31 innings in his last five starts, reaching nine strikeouts four times and also collecting four wins in that span.

Following the bullpen session, Leiter continued to throw off flat ground in Atlanta, where the Rangers kicked off a three-game set Friday. The arm feels good, but the report indicates the right-hander may not be back until late in the season.
The Rangers are expected to reinstate Junis (hip) from the injured list ahead of Saturday's game against Atlanta, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Junis hasn't pitched since June 29 because of a right hip impingement, but he was with the team during Friday's loss and is now set to rejoin the bullpen Saturday without first heading out on a rehab assignment. The 33-year-old has been one of the most reliable members of Texas' pitching staff this season, posting a 2.80 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across 35.1 innings. He figures to resume working as a setup man for closer Jacob Latz.
