Flames' Ryan Lomberg: In playing-time battle
Lomberg was in the lineup for the fifth time in the last nine games, posting two shots on goal and a fighting major in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Mammoth.
Lomberg was a steady part of the Flames' fourth line early in the season, though he didn't generate much offense. He's since been challenged for his spot by John Beecher and Dryden Hunt, with Adam Klapka also in the fourth-line mix. Lomberg has just one helper through 26 outings while adding 25 shots on net, 27 PIM and 76 hits. With virtually no offense in his game, Lomberg doesn't need to be on most fantasy rosters.

Zary has scored in each of his last two outings and has four points across his last seven games. The 24-year-old forward has struggled with consistency this season, but he may be getting back on track with this recent stretch. Overall, he's earned four goals, two helpers, 39 shots on net, 22 hits and a minus-3 rating over 28 appearances.

Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Pots winner against Utah
Sharangovich scored the game-winning goal just 16 seconds into the first period of Saturday's 2-0 victory over the Mammoth.
The 27-year-old winger banged home a rebound after a Nazem Kadri wraparound attempt, and it proved to be all the offensive support Dustin Wolf would need. Sharangovich has only four goals and eight points in 26 games on the season, but half of that production has come since Nov. 19 as he shows faint signs of pulling out of his scoring slump.

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Blanks Mammoth for second shutout
Wolf made 27 saves in Saturday's 2-0 win over Utah.
The 24-year-old netminder continues to turn his season around. The shutout was Wolf's second of the season, and he has allowed two goals or fewer in seven of his last 12 outings, going 6-4-1 over that stretch with a dazzling 2.21 GAA and .918 save percentage.

Wolf will protect the home goal versus the Mammoth on Saturday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Wolf has gone 2-1-0 with seven goals allowed on 74 shots over his last four appearances. It's a bit of an improvement on his work throughout the season. The Mammoth are in the second half of a back-to-back, coming off of consecutive wins in which they've outscored opponents 11-1.

Flames' Joel Hanley: Deals assist in win
Hanley logged an assist in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Wild.
Hanley helped out on a Matthew Coronato goal in the third period. This ended a 10-game point drought for Hanley, who was also a healthy scratch three times in that span. Hanley, Jake Bean and Brayden Pachal have been in contention for two spots in the lineup for much of the last month or so, and that will continue with Zayne Parekh (upper body) expected to be loaned to Canada's World Junior Championship team soon. Through 26 outings, Hanley has four helpers, 17 shots on net, 22 hits, 36 blocked shots, 13 PIM and a minus-2 rating.

Zary provided some insurance in the third period with his goal. The 24-year-old has had a poor season so far, but he's showing a little life with three points over his last six games. He's up to a total of three goals, five points, 37 shots on net, 20 hits and a minus-4 rating over 27 appearances.

Huberdeau ended a month-long goal drought with his tally at 4:21 of the second period. During that stretch, he was limited to six assists and 22 shots on net over 14 outings. The 32-year-old winger has remained in a top-six role despite the slump, as the Flames haven't seen anyone else step up to challenge him. Huberdeau is at five goals, 14 points, 40 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, 13 hits, 25 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 24 appearances.

Coronato ended a four-game point drought with the effort. He had logged a five-game point streak prior to the slump. The streaky offense is likely to come with the territory of being on an inconsistent team, which is a risk fantasy managers will have to weigh when considering Coronato. Andersson scored an empty-net goal on six shots, dished an assist, went plus-3 and blocked four shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Wild.
The defenseman set up Jonathan Huberdeau's opening goal in the middle frame before adding the empty-netter in the third period. Andersson has slowed down a bit recently but still picked up six helpers during his six-game goal drought prior to Thursday. For the season, he's up to six goals, 20 points, 66 shots on net, 57 blocked shots, 34 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 29 appearances in what's shaping up as a bounce-back campaign.

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Sharp outing in win over Wild
Wolf stopped 26 of 27 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Wild.
Wolf has been ceding starts to Devin Cooley lately, but a performance like Thursday could be just what the former needs to secure his No. 1 status. He has allowed just two goals on 38 shots over his last two outings (one start, one relief appearance), and this was his second win in his last three starts. Wolf is at a 7-12-2 record with a 3.05 GAA and an .894 save percentage through 22 games this season. It'll be telling for the workload division moving forward depending on who gets the nod Saturday at home versus the Mammoth.

Flames' Devin Cooley: Pulled after two periods
Cooley allowed four goals on 16 shots Tuesday before he was replaced after two periods by Dustin Wolf, who made 11 saves in a 5-1 loss to Nashville.
Cooley had been hot leading into Tuesday -- he was 3-0-1 in four starts since Nov. 19 -- but the Flames helped make him look human against the Preds. Cooley is still 3-3-2 with a 2.17 GAA and a .920 save percentage in eight starts (11 appearances) this season. He will go into the record book as the goalie who allowed Steven Stamkos' 1,200th NHL point, a tap-in blocker side that stood as the winner.
