Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Set to start Thursday
Schmid is expected to start at home against the Islanders on Thursday, per Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Schmid stopped 25 of 29 shots en route to a 4-3 overtime loss to Anaheim in his last start Saturday. He's 6-1-1 with a 2.51 GAA and a .901 save percentage in eight outings this year. The Islanders are 8-6-2 and rank 10th in goals per game with 3.31.

Golden Knights' William Karlsson: Placed on IR
Karlsson (lower body) was designated for injured reserve Wednesday, per Sin Bin Vegas.
Based on the retroactive designation, Karlsson will have to miss at least the next two games, though with a back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday against the Blues and Wild, respectively, it seems more likely that a return will come closer to Tuesday's clash with the Rangers.

Bowman was summoned from AHL Henderson on Wednesday.
Ellis has made one previous start with the Sabres this season, allowing two goals on 31 shots in a victory against Detroit on Oct. 22. Buffalo also has Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Alex Lyon on the roster, which hasn't presented Ellis with many opportunities to play. Utah has a 9-7-0 record and ranks 15th in goals per game with 3.19.

Golden Knights' Brayden McNabb: Gets on scoresheet with helper
McNabb logged an assist, three shots on goal and four blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers.
This was McNabb's first point of the campaign. The 34-year-old has remained in a top-four role, but he's almost exclusively a defensive presence. His slow start to 2025-26 makes it unlikely that he'll be able to get to the 20-point mark for a third straight season. In addition to his assist, he has nine shots on net, 20 hits, four PIM, a plus-4 rating and an NHL-best 51 blocked shots through 15 appearances.

Golden Knights' Ivan Barbashev: Keeps point streak alive
Barbashev scored a goal and took three shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers.
Barbashev scored his seventh goal of the season with a snap shot at 9:04 of the third period, but the Golden Knights couldn't mount a late comeback. Barbashev has been one of the most productive players for the Golden Knights of late and is up to 12 points (six goals, six assists) over his last 10 games.

Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Nets sixth goal of season
Hertl scored a goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers.
Hertl snapped a three-game pointless skid with this third-period goal -- his first since Oct. 31 in a 4-2 loss to Colorado and sixth of the campaign. Hertl has failed to crack the scoresheet in five of the Golden Knights' last eight games, though, so it's hard to rely on him for sustained production even if he's averaging close to one point per game this season. He's up to 12 points (six goals, six helpers) in 15 games.

Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Remains winless this season
Lindbom stopped 17 of 20 shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers.
Lindbom has made four starts this season and has yet to win, going 0-3-1 with a 3.29 GAA and an .869 save percentage in that span. What's even more concerning is that he's posted a save percentage below .885 in each of his last three starts. The Golden Knights have been rotating goalies of late while Adin Hill (lower body) remains out, and if that trend continues, Lindbom's next start could come on the road against the Blues on Saturday.

Karlsson (lower body) won't play against Florida on Monday, according to SinBin Vegas.
Karlsson will miss at least one game after getting hurt in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to Anaheim. However, it's unclear when he will be ready to return. Karlsson has earned four goals, seven points, 30 shots on net and 13 blocked shots through 14 appearances this season. With Karlsson unavailable to play versus the Panthers, Brett Howden will occupy the third-line center role in Monday's lineup.

Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: First goalie off Monday
Lindbom was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Panthers.
Lindbom has yet to enter the win column this season, as he's gone 0-2-1 with a 3.35 GAA and .873 save percentage over his three starts for the Golden Knights. However, he's been in a timeshare with Akira Schmid while Adin Hill (lower body) has been sidelined, and that trend will continue Monday. The Panthers have struggled offensively early this season, scoring just 2.60 goals per game, which is tied for the fourth-worst mark in the NHL.

Korczak ended a seven-game point drought with the tally, which tied the game with 5:07 left in regulation. The 24-year-old blueliner is up to two goals, one assist, 17 shots on net, 26 hits, 22 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a plus-5 rating over 14 appearances. He's been in the lineup consistently as a third-pairing defenseman, so expect Korczak's scoring contributions to remain fairly limited.

Howden had to play a season-high 16:36 in this contest, as he filled in at center for William Karlsson (lower body), who left after the first period. The 27-year-old Howden has scored three goals over 10 appearances this season, and he's added 10 shots on net, 18 hits and a minus-5 rating. He's nowhere near the pace that saw him earn 23 goals and 40 points in 80 regular-season outings last year, so most fantasy managers can likely find a better depth forward than Howden on the waiver wire.

Golden Knights' Pavel Dorofeyev: Finds twine on power play
Dorofeyev scored a power-play goal on three shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.
Dorofeyev snapped a season-worst three-game goal drought with his third-period tally Saturday. The winger is up to 10 goals and an assist through 14 contests, with six of those tallies and the helper coming on the power play. He's added 40 shots on net and a minus-1 rating. Dorofeyev is still seeing prime minutes on the first power-play unit, but Vegas hasn't been as efficient in the absence of Mark Stone (wrist), who is still at least a week away from returning, though no official timeline has been established. Dorofeyev's goal-scoring skill is too good to drop, but it's best to play the matchups in fantasy with him, as he adds little else when he isn't filling the net.

Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Can't slow down Ducks
Schmid stopped 25 of 29 shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.
Schmid gave up three goals over the first two periods before settling in enough to allow the Golden Knights to force overtime. However, Jacob Trouba scored 4:28 into the extra session to hand Schmid the loss. This was just the second time in eight outings Schmid has been tagged for four-plus goals. He's gone 6-1-1 with a 2.51 GAA and a .901 save percentage so far. The 25-year-old has been alternating starts with Carl Lindbom recently, but it's unclear if that pattern will continue for the Golden Knights' four-game week ahead, which begins Monday at home versus the Panthers.
