Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Set to start Tuesday
Dobes will get the starting nod at home against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, RDS.ca reports.
Dobes has continued to rack up wins, securing five victories in his last seven outings. Overall, the young netminder is 20-6-4 this season in just 30 appearances. Dobes should continue to see the bulk of the workload moving forward.

Canadiens' Jake Evans: Tallies in win
Evans scored a goal in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Kings.
Evans has quietly assembled a four-game point streak, earning two goals and three assists in that span. He's playing in a bottom-six role, but his defensive duties continue to boost his ice time. Evans has earned nine goals, 18 points, 51 shots on net, 56 hits and 36 blocked shots over 48 outings this season.

Canadiens' Juraj Slafkovsky: Scores twice vs. LAK
Slafkovsky scored two goals, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Kings.
Slafkovsky gave the Canadiens a 2-1 lead late in the second period with an even-strength goal, and then he evened things up at three goals apiece with a power-play tally at the 14:38 mark of the final frame. This two-goal performance allowed Slafkovsky to set a new career high in points. He had reached the 50-point plateau in the previous two regular seasons, but now he's up to 52 points (23 goals, 39 assists) in 62 contests in 2025-26. Slafkovsky has set career-best marks in both goals and points this season.

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Hot streak continues Saturday
Suzuki recorded a goal and two assists, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Kings.
Suzuki contributed to three of the Canadiens' four goals in this game, and his impressive performance pushed his point streak to four games. With three multi-point efforts and nine total points (three goals, six assists) over that four-game stretch, Suzuki has been one of the most reliable fantasy options since the Olympic break.

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Earns win Saturday
Dobes stopped 36 of 39 shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Kings.
Dobes was one of the main reasons why the Canadiens got the win Sunday, but that was just another strong showing in a series of very good performances for the 24-year-old. Dobes has won six of his last eight starts, going 6-1-1 with a 3.10 GAA and an .896 save percentage. He has lost in regulation only once since the calendar flipped to 2026 and seems to be firmly entrenched as the Habs' No. 1 goaltender for the time being.

Canadiens' Noah Dobson: Reaches 30-assist mark
Dobson notched two assists and four shots on goal in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Dobson reached the 30-assist mark as he set up both of Cole Caufield's third-period tallies Friday. With four multi-point efforts and a total of three goals and eight assists over his last nine outings, Dobson is cruising in a top-four role. He's at 42 points (seven on the power play), 125 shots on net, 145 blocked shots, 40 hits and a plus-12 rating over 61 appearances this season.

Canadiens' Juraj Slafkovsky: Dishes pair of assists
Slafkovsky recorded two assists, including one on the power play, in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Slafkovsky has four helpers, including two on the power play, over four games since the Olympics. The 21-year-old had his moment in Italy, earning eight points over six games for Slovakia, and the momentum has carried over to the resumption of the NHL schedule. Slafkovsky was on the top line Friday, and he'll have even more upside if he stays there a while. He's up to 49 points (19 on the power play), 124 shots on net, 85 hits, 57 blocked shots, 44 PIM and a plus-5 rating through 61 appearances.

Canadiens' Alexandre Carrier: Finds twine in shootout loss
Carrier scored a goal and added two PIM in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Carrier snapped a four-game point drought with the effort. The 29-year-old blueliner has seen third-pairing minutes lately due to Kaiden Guhle taking on a larger role. Carrier is versatile enough to succeed anywhere for the Canadiens, and he's earned seven goals, 19 points, 53 shots on net, 132 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 61 appearances. While his on-ice value is as strong as ever, his current usage isn't optimal for fantasy, though he can still help in formats that count blocked shots.

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Earns two points Friday
Suzuki scored a goal on two shots and added a power-play assist in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Suzuki has two goals and four helpers over his last three contests. The 26-year-old center continues to play a leading role on offense for the Canadiens after logging his 20th multi-point effort in 61 appearances. He's up to 20 goals, 71 points (33 on the power play), 133 shots on net, 48 hits, 50 blocked shots and a plus-26 rating. Suzuki produced 89 points in 82 regular-season outings a year ago, and he's on pace to surpass that total in 2025-26.

Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Three-point burst Friday
Hutson scored a power-play goal on two shots, dished two assists and went plus-2 in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Hutson had gone six contests without a multi-point effort, though he still got on the scoresheet in five of them. He played a key role in this high-scoring game, scoring in the first period and setting up both of Cole Caufield's tallies as part of a rally in the third. Hutson is up to 11 goals, 63 points (18 on the power play), 96 shots on net, 96 blocked shots and a plus-24 rating over 61 appearances. His 66-point rookie campaign was no fluke -- Hutson is among the best offensive defensemen in the league at just 22 years old.

Canadiens' Cole Caufield: Big role in rally Friday
Caufield scored twice on four shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
While the Canadiens couldn't get the win, Caufield was a big part of the reason why they were able to get one standings point. His pair of goals came in the third period to turn a 4-2 deficit into a 5-4 lead as part of a three-goal rally in 4:23 of game time. With five goals and a helper over his last four contests, Caufield has picked up right where he left off at the Olympic break. The 25-year-old winger has matched his career high of 37 goals, set last year, and he's at 63 points (21 on the power play), 187 shots on net, 44 hits and a plus-22 rating through 61 appearances in 2025-26.

Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Squanders comeback effort
Montembeault stopped 28 of 33 shots in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Montembeault helped the Canadiens get back in the game in the third period, and the offense was able to pull ahead 5-4. Chris Kreider scored in the final minute of regulation to tie it up again, and Montembeault couldn't steal the win in the shootout, taking his second consecutive loss past regulation time. He's down to 10-8-4 with a 3.43 GAA and an .872 save percentage over 25 appearances this season. Montembeault will likely be on the bench for Saturday's game versus the Kings, which should be a start for Jakub Dobes to close out this road trip.

Canadiens' Joe Veleno: Back at practice
Veleno (illness) participated in Thursday's practice as an extra forward.
Veleno appears ready to return to the lineup after missing Monday's practice, but that doesn't mean he will play against Anaheim on Friday. He also sat out Tuesday's 7-5 loss to San Jose, but it's unclear if he was available for that contest because he was a healthy scratch for two straight outings before the matchup. Veleno has two goals, four points, 45 shots on net and 119 hits in 49 appearances this season.

Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Set to start Friday
Montembeault will serve as the starting netminder for Friday's road game against Anaheim, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Montembeault has largely struggled in limited action dating back to mid-January, going 2-2-2 with a 3.32 GAA and .886 save percentage over his last six starts. He'll attempt to bounce back against the Ducks, who rank 13th in the NHL with 3.25 goals per game this year.
