Hockey Club's Nick Bjugstad: Grabs helper in return to lineup
Bjugstad notched an assist in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Canucks.
Bjugstad was activated from injured reserve Friday but served as a healthy scratch against the Kraken that day. The 32-year-old checked in to replace Liam O'Brien (lower body) for Sunday's contest. O'Brien is likely to miss most, if not all, of the remainder of the regular season, so Bjugstad will just need to fend off Matias Maccelli for fourth-line minutes. The helper ended Bjugstad's seven-game point drought, and the veteran forward has 16 points, 96 shots on net, 89 hits and a minus-8 rating through 54 outings in 2024-25.

Hockey Club's Sean Durzi: Nabs helper in win
Durzi logged an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Canucks.
Durzi ended a six-game point drought with the primary helper on Logan Cooley's go-ahead goal in the third period. The 26-year-old Durzi is up to five points, 17 shots, 27 blocks and a plus-3 rating across 15 appearances this season. He's been playing on the third pairing and second power-play unit since returning from a shoulder injury in late February.

Schmaltz notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Canucks.
Schmaltz had gone six games without a helper, which is unusual for a playmaking forward. He remedied that with assists on goals by Logan Cooley and Clayton Keller in this contest. For the season, Schmaltz has 16 tallies, 37 assists, 150 shots on net and a minus-11 rating over 67 appearances. Surprisingly, he's never reached the 40-assist mark in a season, but he's on pace to do so this year.

Hockey Club's Kevin Stenlund: Nets equalizer Sunday
Stenlund scored a goal in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Canucks.
Stenlund has three goals and two assists over seven contests in March. It's a strong run for the fourth-line center, but that role should give fantasy managers pause, as Stenlund hasn't been consistent for more than a week or two at a time this season. He's at 10 goals, 18 points, 78 shots on net, 49 blocked shots, 42 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-11 rating through 67 appearances. This is pretty much the peak of Stenlund's performance, and it's unlikely he'll receive a look in the top six given Utah's center depth.

Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Scores goal after line shuffle
Cooley scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and logged four hits in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Canucks.
Cooley had gone quiet in a top-line role, opening March with six scoreless outings. Head coach Andre Tourigny moved him to the left wing on the second line, and the change paid off, as Cooley snapped the slump with the game-winning goal 5:08 into the third period. The 20-year-old has primarily played at center this season, earning 18 goals, 48 points, 124 shots on net, 48 hits, 36 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 60 appearances. Cooley will have to rebuild some trust with fantasy managers after his slump, but if he gains wing eligibility, that improves his usefulness in the virtual game.

Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Fills empty cage
Keller scored an empty-net goal on five shots and added four PIM in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Canucks.
Keller finished off Utah's win with 31 seconds left in the third period. The winger continues to play well with two goals and four assists over seven outings in March, though he was more explosive on offense in a four-goal, 13-point February. Keller is up to 24 goals, 75 points, 179 shots on net, 22 PIM and a minus-9 rating through 66 appearances this season.

Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Secures key win over Canucks
Vejmelka stopped 18 of 19 shots in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Canucks.
This was a game Utah absolutely needed to have, especially when the Blues beat the Ducks 7-2. Vejmelka delivered a strong performance, allowing just a power-play goal to Quinn Hughes early in the second period before Utah scored the next three goals to stay within two points of the last wild-card spot. While this was Vejmelka's third win in his last seven outings, this was one of his best games in that span. The 28-year-old netminder is up to 19-17-6 with a 2.45 GAA and a .909 save percentage over 44 appearances. Utah wraps up its three-game road trip with a tough matchup in Edmonton on Tuesday.

O'Brien (lower body) is expected to be sidelined for the next four weeks, Belle Fraser of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
After leaving Friday's loss to Seattle due to the injury, O'Brien's status is now in question for the remainder of the campaign -- it sounds like the earliest he'd be able to return is the final week of the regular season. O'Brien had two assists in 27 games in 2024-25. Nick Bjugstad will enter the lineup in his absence.

O'Brien (lower body) won't be available for at least the remainder of Utah's road trip, Belle Fraser of The Salt Lake Tribune reports Saturday.
O'Brien is back in Salt Lake City for further evaluation after getting hurt in Friday's 4-2 loss to Seattle. He has produced two assists, 31 shots on goal, 98 hits and 50 PIM in 27 appearances this season. Due to O'Brien's absence, Matias Maccelli or Nick Bjugstad will play against Vancouver on Sunday.

Vejmelka is expected to start on the road against Vancouver on Sunday, per Belle Fraser of The Salt Lake Tribune on Saturday.
Vejmelka has an 18-17-6 record, 2.49 GAA and .908 save percentage in 43 outings in 2024-25. While those are decent overall numbers, he's going through a rough patch in which he's won just one of his past four starts (1-1-2) and has allowed 12 goals on 93 shots (.871 save percentage). He's found success against Vancouver this season, posting a 1.44 GAA and a .929 save percentage across two victories over the Canucks, so perhaps his third meeting against them will snap his cold spell.

Kevin Stenlund finished serving a penalty and then set up Nick Schmaltz just after exiting the sin bin for the game-tying goal late in the first period. The 29-year-old Schmaltz has four goals over six outings in March, with one of those tallies coming on the power play. For the season, the veteran forward is up to 16 goals, 35 assists, 149 shots on net, 37 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating through 66 appearances. Good health -- Schmaltz has yet to miss a game this season -- and a top-line role have the forward in position to push for the 60-point mark for the second year in a row.

He also had a hit and a blocked shot in the contest, providing a little bit of everything from his fourth-line role. Stenlund has earned four points over six outings in March, which is much better than the three points he collected in January and February combined. The 28-year-old center is up to a career-high 17 points with 77 shots on net, 48 blocked shots, 42 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-12 rating through 66 appearances this season.

Vejmelka allowed a goal in each period, squandering the 2-1 lead Utah took early in the middle frame. Over six contests in March, Vejmelka has gone 2-2-2 with 17 goals allowed on 162 shots. He's now 18-17-6 with a 2.49 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 43 appearances this season. Utah is likely to keep turning to Vejmelka, though Jaxson Stauber could get a spot start on occasion while Connor Ingram is away from the team in the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program.
