Capitals' Logan Thompson: Starting in Florida
Thompson will tend the visiting twine in Florida on Thursday, according to Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post.
Thompson finally allowed more than two goals when the Lightning scored three times in a 3-2 win Saturday. Thompson has been outstanding this season, posting a 7-4-0 record with a 1.56 GAA and a .935 save percentage. The Panthers have struggled this season after winning back-to-back Stanley Cups. They have 42 goals in 16 games, 28th in the NHL.

Capitals' Terik Parascak: Leads Cougars to win
Parascak scored three goals and added an assist in WHL Prince George's 4-2 win over Victoria on Wednesday.
Parascak has been a big goal-scorer this season, but this was his first hat trick. He's also had four games of three or more points while racking up a total of 15 goals and 15 helpers over 18 appearances. The Capitals prospect's 1.67 points per game represent his best pace in a junior campaign, and he's yet to be held off the scoresheet in consecutive contests, displaying strong consistency for the Cougars.

Capitals' Brandon Duhaime: Goals in consecutive games
Duhaime scored a goal, added two hits and blocked seven shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Duhaime opened the scoring at 5:42 of the first period. In addition, his seven blocks matched the total of all of the Capitals' blueliners combined in Tuesday's contest and more than doubled his total on the year. Duhaime has scored in back-to-back contests and is up to three points, nine shots, 37 hits, 13 blocks, 18 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 16 outings in a fourth-line role.

Capitals' Dylan Strome: Scores in Tuesday's win
Strome scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Strome's second-period tally held up as the game-winner. The 28-year-old center has three goals and five points over five outings in November while maintaining his usual top-line spot. Overall, he's at five goals, 15 points, 31 shots on net and a plus-11 rating over 14 appearances and should continue to offer steady offense for fantasy managers.

Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Reaches career milestone
Chychrun scored a power-play goal on five shots on net while adding four PIM, two hits, a blocked shot and a minus-1 rating in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.
The 27-year-old blueliner ended an eight-game goal drought by snapping a rebound past Frederik Andersen early in the third period, giving Chychrun his 100th career NHL goal. He's been productive in his second season with the Capitals, producing four goals and 11 points in 16 games while adding 53 shots on net, 18 hits, 15 PIM, 14 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating.

Capitals' John Carlson: Two helpers Tuesday
Carlson picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.
The veteran blueliner extended his point streak to four games with the performance, a stretch in which he's collected two goals and six points. Carlson has been streaky so far this season, but the overall results have been good. He's delivered four goals, 13 points, 35 shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in 16 contests.

Capitals' Alex Ovechkin: Two points in Tuesday's win
Ovechkin scored an empty-net goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.
The future Hall of Famer helped set up what proved to be the game-winner by Dylan Strome early in the second period before icing things with his 901st career tally in the final minute of the third. Ovechkin hasn't been able to keep up a point-a-game pace so far in 2025-26, which shouldn't be surprising for a 40-year-old, but he's still contributed a respectable four goals and 12 points in 16 contests.

Capitals' Logan Thompson: Cruises to win in Carolina
Thompson made 30 saves in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Nikolaj Ehlers jammed home a rebound midway through the second period, but that was the only puck to get past Thompson on the night. The 28-year-old netminder continues to build an early Vezina case, as he has yet to allow more than three goals in a start while going 7-4-0 with a 1.56 GAA and .935 save percentage.

Capitals' Maxim Schafer: Collects two points in QMJHL win
Schafer scored a goal and added an assist in QMJHL Chicoutimi's 4-2 win over Baie-Comeau on Sunday.
Schafer has three goals and three assists during a six-game point streak. He's picked up the pace after a slow start and now has six goals and seven assists over 15 appearances. The German winger is a Capitals prospect, selected in the third round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. He still needs to work on his offense, but he has coveted size that could make him a good checking winger in the long run.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Needs surgery
Dubois is having surgery on his abdominal and adductor muscles and will miss the next 3-4 months, the Capitals announced Sunday.
As reported, it's not a season-ending injury for Dubois, but it is still one that carries a significant recovery time of 3-4 months. The 27-year-old struggled in his six games so far this season, registering no points while averaging 15:32 of ice time per night, but the loss will still certainly be felt given his top-six status. Connor McMichael could center the second line for the foreseeable future.

Capitals' Ethen Frank: Notches helper in return
Frank registered an assist in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Lightning.
Frank missed four games due to an upper-body injury. He returned to a fourth-line role and saw 12:19 of ice time in this contest. The 27-year-old is not guaranteed a spot in the lineup, as he'll have to compete with Sonny Milano for playing time. Frank has two helpers, three shots on net, four PIM, three blocked shots and two hits over four appearances this season.

Capitals' Brandon Duhaime: First goal of season
Duhaime scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Lightning.
Duhaime opened the scoring in the first period when his wrist shot from the side of the goal line deflected off Andrei Vasilevskiy's pad and into the net. It was Duhaime's first goal and second point this season (15 games). He is a bottom-six checker who's better on the ice than in the fantasy arena.

Capitals' John Carlson: Three-game, four-point streak
Carlson scored a goal Saturday in a 3-2 loss to Tampa Bay.
Carlson was credited with the goal after he fired a point shot that got behind Andrei Vasilevskiy, and Tampa Bay defender Erik Cernak accidentally punched the puck in the net while attempting to clear it. Carlson is on a three-game point streak (two goals, two assists). The 35-year-old veteran has 11 points in 15 games, a pace that could see him hit 60 points this season.

Capitals' Logan Thompson: Third loss in last four starts
Thompson made 16 saves in a 3-2 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.
He'd like the third goal back. Thomspon was handcuffed by Brandon Hagel's shot from the high slot in the third period. Thompson is 1-3-0 in his last four starts despite allowing just seven goals in that span. His ratios still sparkle -- he has a 1.61 GAA and a .930 save percentage in 10 starts.
